Equipment Booking¶
The Equipment View provides a timeline for tracking equipment availability and bookings across projects.
Equipment List Panel¶
The left panel lists all equipment items with:
- Status indicator: Green (available) or Red (currently booked)
- Equipment info: Name, type, and current status
- Drag handle: Admins can drag equipment onto the timeline to create bookings
Equipment Timeline¶
The timeline shows equipment bookings as horizontal bars, color-coded by project. Multiple bookings can overlap on the same equipment, displayed as stacked bars.
Booking Equipment¶
Method 1: Drag & Drop¶
- Drag an equipment item from the panel onto a project/phase bar on the Gantt timeline
- The Equipment Assignment Modal opens
Method 2: Context Menu¶
- Right-click on a project, phase, or subphase
- Select Assign Equipment
Assignment Modal¶
- Select the equipment item from a dropdown
- Set start and end dates for the booking
- Click Save to confirm
Filtering Equipment¶
Use the filter dropdown to filter by equipment type (e.g., Analytical, Molecular Biology, General Lab, Cell Culture, Processing, Safety). Quick Select All and Clear buttons are provided.
